André Jolivet's "Chant de Linos" was composed for the Solo de Concours at the Paris Conservatoire in 1944 for Flute, Harp and String Trio, this version arranges it for flute + piano accompaniment. Inspired by a threnody in Greek antiquity, this piece is also about Linos, son of Apollo, who taught Orpheus the lyre, & was killed by Heracles for criticising him too much. Set for LRSM & FTCL diplomas. NB cover scuffed, so reduced from RRP of £19.99 - contents unaffected.
